Some Venezuelan citizens have rejected acting President Delcy Rodriguez’s trip to the United Nations, where she is expected to speak at the General Assembly this week and meet privately with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday.

“I completely disagree with the UN welcoming that illegitimate woman in New York,” Nuris Medina told CNN while attending a protest in Caracas this morning alongside dozens of others.

Rodriguez became acting president in early January after the US captured President Nicolas Maduro in a military operation. He is being held in New York on various charges, which he denies. Rodriguez initially criticized Maduro’s arrest but has since had various dealings with the Trump administration, including an agreement for the US to control 65 billion barrels of Venezuelan oil.

Protester Margot Monasterios said Venezuelans are “grateful” to Trump for ousting Maduro tripscan but noted that key figures from his inner circle remain in power.

I keep landing between Deep Winter and Deep Summer because the obvious signs do not all point in one direction. So far, icy pink seems clearer than mauve but cobalt is much stronger on me than smoky blue. I took the photos in indirect daylight without makeup and kept the camera exposure fixed. Could depth be my dominant feature without making me a Winter or do the clearer colors carry more weight than eye softness? What comparison would you consider most decisive before spending money on a professional consultation?

Thinking back to her decision to relocate to Portugal on her own five years ago, Paula Dreyfuss jokes that many people questioned her state of mind, as she’d never even visited the European country before.

Dreyfuss loves the local food and usually eats out at least three times a week, something she simply couldn’t have afforded to do when she was based in San Diego, California, where she lived and worked as a teacher previously.

When she began teaching after working in corporate finance for years, Dreyfuss thought she’d end up with a retirement income that would provide her with a comfortable lifestyle.
